Diamonds & Dirt is Racing into the National Arena!
BRYAN, TX – More than 19 million viewers will be able to watch highlights of this year’s Diamonds & Dirt Barrel Horse Classic.
Horse Racing Television (HRTV) will webcast and air daily updates on the first-class barrel racing competition. The network also plans to webcast the Futurity Finals on Saturday, MARCH 16 on www.HRTV.com.
“We are beyond thrilled with this cutting edge joint venture,” says Kristi Schiller, who founded Diamonds & Dirt in 2011. “HRTV was the perfect fit for us. This is a world-class event, and we love that so many millions of viewers will now get to experience it along with us.”
HRTV describes the Western sports and lifestyle as the “backbone of the equestrian world!”
HRTV’s Western shows are featured on http://www.hrtv.com/western/ -- viewers are invited to “come along for the robust thrill of Western competitors, features that expand your knowledge in the world of riding as well as worthwhile conversations with the best legendary and current trainers in the world!”
HRTV is expanding its Western coverage even more, and Diamonds & Dirt is proud to be a part of that.
“Diamonds & Dirt has almost doubled in size from a year ago. We’re excited to share one of the fastest growing equine disciplines in the country with 19 million households,” says LaTricia Duke, one of the most successful barrel racers in the country and one of the event’s organizers. “In spite of the recession we’ve been going through, barrel racing is the one of the fastest growing events in the equine industry.”
Diamonds & Dirt takes place at the Brazos County Expo Complex March 12 to 17 – each day will feature exciting runs by the most seasoned barrel racers in the country. The Expo Complex also will host dozens of vendors with unique items – and fabulous entertainment and events in the evenings.
DDBHC has one of the richest purses in the barrel racing industry – at more than $450,000 in cash and prizes. The weeklong event will culminate on March 16 with the Futurity Finals and a special Night of Diamonds featuring Texas legend Robert Earl Keen.
